I'm off to my favorite place to sketch today- it's a property called Happy Valley, and the Anacortes Sketchers get to go once a year. I have to make myself get out my watercolors and overcome that fear of failure and making mistakes. Watercolors have always been my weak spot- I have the lowest "batting average" in that medium for sure!!

Watercolors are such an interesting medium aren't they... they really test my patience. Learning to be more loose with them... such a fun practice to engage in!
Lilacs!! Also my favorite smell. Maybe it’s because there’s a small window each spring to enjoy the blooms?
