I took a deep look at my work today and found myself taken back by my evolution as an artist. I’m by no means trying to toot my own horn — it’s natural, I think — for someone who really strives to improve their craft pretty much daily, to find themselves creating closer to what they’d like to create. It feels good.
Each day, each paper, each cut, each click of the shutter, I get closer to, as Ira Glass would say, “Closing the gap.”
It’s been a few decades of paper cutting and almost one decade of taking pictures and I feel like I’m just getting started…
